Cypren Firmware tiers
Cypren has three firmware tiers. These are :
- Quartz, basic firmware, emulating a device without TLP
- Topaz, more advanced firmware, with TLP emulation
- and Diamond, the most advanced firmware, with full driver support as well as as much TLP emulation as possible. Also completely 1:1 in terms of the device that has been cloned
Diamond Firmware
Diamond Firmware is the highest tier of firmware. This firmware is a 1:1 clone of a real PCIe device with full TLP emulation and driver support. The firmware has some of the highest speeds in the DMA market, as well as the device emulation appearing to be a legit PCIe device.
This firmware is as 1:1 as possible, meaning that if it does get sigged by the anti cheat, no bans occur.
Anti cheats are now detecting more basic firmwares, however it is extremely hard to detect firmware like Cypren Diamond, as when the anti cheat queries the device, there is real TLP responses that are returned.
Cypren Diamond has actually ran tests by simulating a real anti cheat query and response. The response has been fine tuned to be an exact clone of the real device.
Please note that even if you have successfully applied, you may not be able to get Cypren Diamond, as we want to maintain its ability to evade the anti cheat by filtering users to those who are competent enough to use it.
Topaz firmware
Topaz firmware also emulates a real device with driver support
However, the TLP responses of Topaz firmware have not been finetuned to the quality of that of Cypren Diamond
The TLP responses that Topaz firmware returns does not cover the range that Cypren Diamond firmware does
This firmware is very viable on most anti cheats, and is better than most firmware on the market, however the emulation has not been fleshed out like Cypren Diamond
Another difference with Topaz firmware is the driver support.
With Diamond firmware, a driver has been deconstructed to emulate as much of the real device as possible
With Topaz firmware, this is still the case, however, in some cases the driver responses are different, as the emulated TLP responses are different.
Quartz firmware
Quartz firmware is offered to those who want more affordable firmware which is also higher quality than other firmware providers, however incomparable to Cypren Diamond and Topaz
With most firmware providers, this tier of firmware is absolutely horrendous, however Cypren has made sure to maintain the high quality of its higher tier firmwares with Cypren Quartz
Cypren Quartz lacks driver support as well as TLP emulation, however it evades the anti cheat
The way this is possible is by using the driver in a different way. With our other firmwares, real driver compatibility is ensured.
With Quartz firmware, the evasion of the anti cheat occurs by cloning unconventionally, or by using hardware that is similar to the actual DMA device
This method is employed by cloning devices that have a similar hardware composition to that of the DMA card.
By employing this technique, anti cheats have a hard time deciphering Quartz firmware as a legitimate or illegitimate device, as the hardware composition that the firmware emulates is actually that of a real PCIe device
